00:00:00We only have one day left until we lose the most powerful AI model in the world,
00:00:04Claude Fable 5. So the obvious question is, what should we be doing with the limited time
00:00:10remaining? Well, that is exactly what I'm going to be showing you in this video, as I give you
00:00:14five different things that you need to knock out in the next 24 hours alongside their exact
00:00:19prompts. Because unless you plan on spending thousands of dollars on the Fable 5 API,
00:00:25now might be the last chance you have to use this thing.
00:00:28Now, before we jump into the actual use cases, a quick word on tokens and usage, because
00:00:33while we only have a day left, I don't want you to go out there, knock out the first two
00:00:37use cases, and then you've blown through your usage. So it's important we monitor it until
00:00:42we get to use case number five, in which case we're just going to go crazy. So we're looking
00:00:46at DeepSuite, which is a benchmark. And what this is showing us is that we don't need to
00:00:50be on max or extra high effort level when it comes to Fable 5. In fact, we can be on high
00:00:57or even better, medium or low, and still do better than Opus 4.8. And not only do we do
00:01:03better than Opus 4.8 in these effort levels, it's also significantly cheaper. When we look
00:01:08at medium, we're seeing $13 to $6. So it's half as expensive as Opus. And when we look
00:01:13at low, it's even more significant, $376 versus $13. So I highly suggest for these first few
00:01:20use cases, stick it on medium, you could even go to low if you press for usage. And then as
00:01:25we get closer to that deadline, then go ahead and ramp it up. That way you can get everything
00:01:31you can out of this model. Now, the first thing we're going to do in this last 24 hours
00:01:35is probably the most obvious. And that is to use Fable 5 to create plans for Opus 4.8 to
00:01:40execute down the line. The prompt I'm showing you right here is what you should use. Now, this
00:01:45is assuming you have some sort of code base or some sort of project you're already working
00:01:49on. This is going to allow Fable 5 to go through your code base from top to bottom and figure
00:01:53out what needs to change and what Opus 4.8 needs to actually execute on the ground to get
00:01:58to an end state that Fable 5 thinks makes sense. Now, this also applies to brand new projects.
00:02:04So you can very easily edit this prompt to start on a completely new project. And while I have
00:02:10this rank the top five changes by leverage and tell me what to do first, you can very easily
00:02:15have this be uncapped and it shows you every single possible change you need to make and
00:02:19why they are important. And so when I ran that on one of my code bases, here's what it came
00:02:23back with. And it came back with a specific plan for each big issue. So it gave me five
00:02:28different markdown files that I can hand Opus for one specific code base. So it's very, very
00:02:33thorough. Now, use case number two is creating a second brain with Fable 5 in combination with
00:02:38Obsidian. Now, the second brain we're going to create is based on Andre Carpathie's LLM
00:02:42knowledge base post, which talks about how to use Obsidian and Claude code to create this.
00:02:46This is what the prompt is going to do for you. And as cool as these sort of visuals look,
00:02:50this isn't where the value lies in these sort of second brain systems. The value lies in our
00:02:55ability to give Claude code a map of a bunch of interconnected documents that allow Claude
00:03:00code to answer questions quickly and correctly about huge corpuses of knowledge. We can have literally
00:03:07millions of documents as part of our second brain system and Claude code can navigate just fine
00:03:12because it's going to navigate it in this sort of manner. Now, I'm not going to turn this into a
00:03:15second brain video, but just so you understand, it's going to designate some folder as the vault
00:03:21once you start using Obsidian. And what Fable 5 is going to do is it's going to take whatever
00:03:25markdown files you have or create whatever markdown files you want. So if you want a second brain
00:03:30about a particular code base or some sort of project you're working on, it's going to divvy it up in this
00:03:34manner where we have one section is sort of the unstructured data. We have a second section full
00:03:39of structured data and then a third section, which is all about our output. So think like slide decks,
00:03:44write ups, that sort of thing. All in all, it gives us a system that allows Claude code to know you
00:03:50and your projects. And if you want to take this a step further and you're really into Obsidian,
00:03:54you can turn this into a whole command center like I have, where you then have all these second brain
00:03:59metrics pumped onto a screen that you can also have the terminal be a part of. But whether you create a
00:04:04command center or some sort of OS at the end of the day, creating a second brain does have a ton
00:04:08of benefits if you're someone who works in really markdown heavy spaces. So before we move on to use case
00:04:14number three, a quick word from today's sponsor, which is me. So I just released my Claude code
00:04:19masterclass and it is the number one way to go from zero to AI dev, especially if you don't come from
00:04:23a technical background. We focus on the fundamentals and real use cases. And on top of the Claude code
00:04:29masterclass, you also get the codex masterclass as well as the agentic OS masterclass where you learn
00:04:34how to build stuff like this. So if you're serious about this AI stuff, but just want a little more
00:04:37guidance, definitely check us out. It's inside of chase AI plus there's a link in the pin comment.
00:04:42The use case number three is a self audit. We are going to have Fable take a look at our last 30 days
00:04:46worth of sessions, which could be hundreds of sessions for some of you. And we're going to have
00:04:50it pull out three things. One, the top five repeated patterns with counts. What are you constantly doing?
00:04:56Two, three skills you would create from those patterns and then go ahead and create those skills.
00:05:02And then three, the biggest inefficiency in how I prompt. So all this data and it's saying,
00:05:08Hey, what can we pull from what you've been doing and turn them into skills? What can we codify?
00:05:13And then also like, what are your inefficiencies? What are you kind of doing wrong when it comes to using
00:05:17cloud code? How can you just level up as an operator? That is what this prompt is going to give you.
00:05:22And what you could add here as a fourth thing, which I didn't, is having it take a look at your
00:05:26sessions pre Fable and post Fable and seeing if it can pull out anything of use there. Maybe you've
00:05:33been operating differently using Fable versus Opus. Maybe it's also working different when we talk about
00:05:38Fable versus Opus. There's a lot of people who will tell you, Hey, here's some sort of prompt you can
00:05:42use for distilling Fable and turning into Opus. Understand that's kind of nonsense. The model is
00:05:48the model. We can give it a skill and you can say, Hey, this is how Fable works. I want Opus to work
00:05:53that way. It's not really going to work the way you think it is, but there might be some on the margin
00:05:59things in terms of just how you speak to it that it might be able to pull out from this session audit.
00:06:04Now, use case number four is definitely in the same vein of auditing. While in three,
00:06:09we take a look at how we've been using Claude and what sort of is missing, what skills don't
00:06:13exist that should exist. Well, now we're going to take a look at skills that do exist and seeing,
00:06:17can we improve these? Because this is really important because skills are probably the highest
00:06:23leverage thing when it comes to Claude code. The idea that we can be somewhat deterministic and how
00:06:27Claude does things. Well, that's what skills are all about. Whether it's from a workflow sense or from
00:06:33like a, Hey, you're really bad at this. I eat front end design. Here's some instructions for you to follow to make that
00:06:38better. And so what this is going to do is it's going to create an entire table for you and decide
00:06:42if this is a keep, if this is a merge, if this is a rewrite, or if it's a delete. And then it's going
00:06:47to rewrite the three worst descriptions when it comes to trigger accuracy and fix the worst skill.md body.
00:06:54So we're identifying the troublemakers and we're just going to go ahead and fix the worst offenders
00:06:58right away. Now, this brings us to our last use case. And like I alluded to in the beginning,
00:07:03this is where we're going to burn our tokens. We're finally going to get our money's worth out of
00:07:06anthropic. And we're going to do that by playing around with the effort level. Specifically,
00:07:11we are going to be going into ultra code and we're going to be bringing in dynamic workflows
00:07:16into the equation. And you're going to be pointing ultra code, fable five at whatever wild project
00:07:23you are thinking about. Now, the great thing with ultra code is you don't even have to come up with a
00:07:29great prompt. I suggest you start with something like deep research, have it fan out and figure out what
00:07:35is the best way to attack whatever problem you have, it's going to create like 100 sub agents,
00:07:39it's going to do adversarial review, and it will come back with report answering whatever question
00:07:43you have. From there, have it not only take that information and come with a plan, have it actually
00:07:49execute it. We've talked in tons of videos about like, hey, here's ways to save tokens with fable
00:07:54five advisor mode. Have Opus do it. Not today. Have it do everything and have it do it in ultra code.
00:08:00Have it come up with a custom dynamic workflow for how to execute it and just let it go to work and
00:08:05let it go to work till it burns up all the usage you have because it might be a while before you see it
00:08:10again. So those were my five ways to use fable five in the last 24 hours. I hope you get used
00:08:16out of at least one of them and definitely use ultra code at the end, right? You don't want to leave
00:08:21any usage on the table. So as always, let me know in the comments what you thought. Make sure to check
00:08:26out Chase AI plus if you want to get your hands on the cloud code masterclass. And besides that,
00:08:30I'll see you around.

Key Takeaway

Maximize Claude Fable 5's remaining utility by using its superior reasoning for strategic planning and auditing at lower cost settings, reserving high-effort 'Ultra' mode for complex project execution.

Highlights

  • Claude Fable 5 models perform better than Opus 4.8 even at 'medium' or 'low' effort levels while remaining significantly cheaper.

  • Using 'medium' effort settings costs roughly $13 compared to $6 for Opus 4.8, while 'low' settings cost $3.76.

  • Fable 5 can analyze existing codebases to generate specific markdown implementation plans for execution by Opus 4.8.

  • Building a 'second brain' in Obsidian using Fable 5 involves organizing documentation into unstructured data, structured data, and output sections for improved AI context.

  • A session audit using Fable 5 identifies top repeated patterns, potential new skills, and personal prompting inefficiencies from the last 30 days.

  • The 'Ultra' code effort level enables dynamic workflows where Fable 5 automatically generates sub-agents and performs adversarial reviews for complex projects.

Timeline

Usage Optimization Strategy

  • Fable 5 outperforms Opus 4.8 at medium and low effort levels.
  • Low effort settings cost $3.76, while medium settings cost $13 per benchmark usage.

To preserve token usage for final tasks, utilize lower effort levels for initial work. Data shows that even at lower settings, Fable 5 exceeds the performance of Opus 4.8. Ramping up to maximum effort levels should be reserved only for the final, most complex project tasks to ensure total usage is not exhausted prematurely.

Codebase Planning and Second Brain Creation

  • Fable 5 can generate actionable markdown plans for Opus 4.8 to execute on codebases.
  • Obsidian-based second brains organize data into structured, unstructured, and output categories for better AI navigation.

Fable 5 analyzes codebases to identify and rank the top five changes by leverage, outputting specific markdown files for Opus 4.8. Additionally, building a second brain in Obsidian allows for the creation of a searchable map of interconnected documents. This system enables AI to quickly retrieve information across millions of documents by structuring data into specific folders.

Session Auditing and Skill Refinement

  • Auditing past sessions reveals repeated patterns, potential new skills, and prompt inefficiencies.
  • Skill files in Claude code should be periodically reviewed to keep, merge, rewrite, or delete them based on performance.

A comprehensive self-audit involves analyzing the last 30 days of sessions to extract top repeated patterns and identify the biggest prompting inefficiencies. This process informs the creation of new codified skills. Furthermore, existing skills should be audited for trigger accuracy and description quality, with the worst-performing skills receiving immediate rewrites.

Ultra Code Execution

  • Ultra code effort enables dynamic workflows for complex project execution.
  • Dynamic workflows include automatic sub-agent creation and adversarial review processes.

The final recommended use of remaining tokens is to deploy Fable 5 in 'Ultra' code mode. This allows the model to implement dynamic workflows, including deep research and the creation of approximately 100 sub-agents. The model can then perform adversarial reviews and execute entire projects independently, utilizing all remaining capacity.
